David Floyd
David was
a take-charge leader who let his actions speak louder
than his words. He used his time and talent to better
the lives of those around him and was recognized
as an asset to his community.
We all admired David’s ability to acquire
knowledge. He had a quick learning curve and could
speak with expertise on a wide range of subjects.
We were
proud to have known and worked beside David
and will miss him dearly.
David was running with friends just after daybreak
on a two-lane country road outside of town when he
died. As a fellow marathoner and occasional running
partner, I regarded David as one of the fittest people
I knew. His death has shocked not only us at Wachovia
Securities, but the entire community.
David is survived by his wife, Cindi; daughters,
Leah, Meredith, and Anna; parents, James and Roberta
Floyd; two brothers, Steve and Tim; two sisters,
Susan Lovelace and Sara Eldredge; father-in-law Robert
Stewart, mother-in-law Joan Stewart, and brother-in-law
Kyle Stewart.
